His success led E&USA to promote him to VP of Prevention Services in 2007. In this role, Al continued to develop and implement strategic business plans to increase E&USA’s impact and financial strength.

With the merger of the IHSA's legacy associations in January 2010, Al became IHSA's Vice President of Prevention—Specialty Sevices, a division that focused on high-value, health and safety training and auditing.
